Each ABLE account is connected to only one prepaid card and is treated as its own account – separate from any other ABLE account. Therefore, you cannot transfer or mix the funds from different accounts.
A PIN is a 4-digit security feature. A PIN is used when making PIN-based purchases like “debit” transactions. Please remember to keep your PIN safe and do not write it on your card. When selecting a PIN, do not use numbers or words that appear in your wallet (e.g., your date of birth, address, social security number). Memorize your PIN and do not share it with anyone else.
Once you are ready to enroll, you can set up your account here on line. When opening a Maryland ABLE account, have ready information about the beneficiary, qualifying disability, and how the ABLE account will be funded.
