In this virtual session, Maryland ABLE will be providing an overview of Maryland ABLE including the eligibility criteria, account enrollment, management and how to use ABLE funds to pay for qualified disability expenses. Attendees will learn about the benefits and features of a Maryland ABLE account such as tax-free earnings on savings and investment options, convenient access to funds with the prepaid card option, a gifting platform, and access to an income deduction for contributions made to a Maryland ABLE account. Once you are ready to enroll, you can set up your account here online. When opening a Maryland ABLE account, make sure you have ready identifying information about the beneficiary, the qualifying disability, and how the ABLE account will be funded.
