What changes have been made to prepaid card accounts?

We have transitioned to a new, exciting prepaid card option for our customers, and we want to make you aware of some changes to your account.

  • Since we have phased out your old prepaid card, when you log into your account, the Card section will be removed.

  • Your past prepaid card transaction history has been converted to PDFs and can be accessed in the Statements tab in the website.

  • If you had a balance on your previous prepaid card that was refunded to you, please note, this will appear on your transaction history as a charge dated after your account was closed, labeled as “Other,” and the format of the Transaction ID may look a little different.

  • There is a new prepaid card plan available with True Link. Learn more

  • Prepaid cards are available for Authorized Legal Representatives (ALRs) and Beneficiaries 18 and older.

Once you are ready to enroll, you can set up your account here online. When opening a Maryland ABLE account, make sure you have ready identifying information about the beneficiary, the qualifying disability, and how the ABLE account will be funded.
